Soooo I got tagged thrice, by
and I saw this meme done by
even before that and already wanted to do it back then, so I guess I'll finally work it out and put it up then :'D[-] < [/] < [X]Role Play Basics
I am comfortable doing:
[-] Comment: Not a big fan of it, but I have done it before and can do it. But again, not big of a fan.
[-] Chats: Done this a lot in the past but I'm not quite so comfortable with it anymore. Same as with comments, I can do it but as of recently I'm not that big of a chat-goer anymore.
[x] Notes: Generally the way to go with me, though it does carry the risk of me forgetting about it after a while and making responses slow... but that's more a general issue with me :'D
[-] Forum: Nope. Tried it, didn't care for it.
[x] Skype: Basically my default if notes are undesired by my RP partner.
[/] Google Docs: I've done this once and it's pretty okay, not my preference yet because it's new-ish to me, but yeah, I can deal with it.
[?] Other: Uhhhhhhhh... I'm willing to try new things but I can't guarantee I'll like it?
OOC/Headcanoning/RP Planning Methods:
(hc = headcanon, which is essentially saying our characters will do a thing/have done a thing without actually RPing it out in depth necessarily)
I'm too awkward to approach others, so if you can somehow reach me, either works.
I am comfortable with:
[x] One on one role plays: Preferred by far. Just... easy to keep track of and stuff.
[/] Up to three people: I can deal with it but it's not my strong suit, especially with my slow speed in general.
[-] Up to four people: I could possibly try this but I don't feel confident with it.
[-] Five or more people!: Yeah... Noooo...
[?] As big as possible!: In a way I love big RP events tho, but that's with people interacting with one another rather than my character(s) per say.
I am all right with:
I'm gonna be frank, I'm not sure which is which? But I generally write out a lot of character thoughts and stuff.
I usually write about:
[x] One or two sentences
[x] One or two paragraphs
[/] Two to five paragraphs
[/] More than five paragraphs
[-] A few pages worth
To keep it simple, I generally try to respond in a similar length as my RP partner, and otherwise it just kinda depends on my muse. I'm not gonna write a book per post tho.
I am comfortable role-playing with people who write:
[x] One or two sentences
[x] One or two paragraphs
[x] Two to five paragraphs
[x] More than five paragraphs
[/] A few pages worth
Come at me friends! I can't guarantee to equal in length with my responses, but I sure as heck will try.
I like getting requests from:
[/] Anyone and everyone at any time!: I mean... yes, but no? I'm ok with anyone asking for RPs, but the timing can be rough sometimes, as I tend to have A LOT of downtime with RPing, roughly ranging between a few weeks and a few months from time to time. I'm currently in said downtime and it's not something I share oft; but I will not easily say no to a request.
[/] When I ask for role-plays. I... well I did this sometimes a long time ago and though I'm okay with it when the rare occassion happens, I've noticed that most RPs that were started that way would end up falling apart (usually because of me not replying after a while).
[x] From friends and acquaintances: If I know you, you will obviously get precedence. Again It's still iffy during my RP downtime, but I would be willing to try and move myself past that.
[-] From friends only: I'm not picky. Though friends do get precedence.
I am comfortable getting corrections when:
[x] I missed something in your/someone else's post: Oh yeah... especially if I misinterpret something, as I tend to read too literally. It happens a looot, and I'd rather be corrected than read it back later and hit myself over the head.
[x] I missed something about your/someone else's character: I try not to have this happen often, and though I never correct people when it happens to me, I would very fine with corrections if I am mistaken.
[/] It's realistic/factual: Not that big a deal because... well... magic. but I'm willing to compromise if it's too liberal on the magic part.
[/] Other: Sooo I have this tendency to have recurring things happen a bit often? Like triple ellipses or the application of 'and', 'before' or 'to' words... if it annoys you, feel free to correct me, though I'm pretty self-conscious about this, so it hopefully won't happen often.
I expect my RP partner to
[?] Have read my character app before we RP
[?] NOT read my character app at all before we RP
[?] Read as much of my character app as is reasonable to go on before we RP
[?] Read more of my character app as it becomes relevant/necessary
You do you friend, if you want to know everything about my character, go ahead. Don't want to know anything or read more as more RPing happens? Sure thing. So long as you don't have your character run around with information in mind that he/she shouldn't have I'm fine with anything.
** Important: Communication is the key to a real life relationship, it shouldn't be abandoned for a fictional on either! Be sure to talk to your partners when considering romance!
I am comfortable shipping my characters:
[/] Never: Sometimes friendships are the best ships.
[x] Our character know each other deeply: Yuuuup. Makes sense to have them hook up, or attempt to do so at that point.
[x] Our character know each other deeply, and I know I can trust the role-player: Like the last one but even better.
[/] At the first sign of flirting!: As much as I disagree with it, this is usually the first (and usually only) time I start thinking about ships. I'm more of a slow burner, but ideas tend to begin here. xD
[x] Only if the role-player and I plan it: <- THIS is a definite yes. I like to be surprised sometimes too, but without planning I would feel awkward making the step, let alone being on the receiving end.
[x] It depends on the character: I mean... some guys of mine are just not easily ship-able :'D
If you want to ship with my characters:
[/] Talk to me about it from the start:
I mean... if the intent is there from the start, hit me up and I might just be willing to oblige. Just don't expect an instant yes. (though I may be excited to hear someone would want to do a ship
[x] Talk to me about it once our characters know each other: Myeah, I'm generally fine with any time, but at this point you can probably gauge how well the ship would sail.
[x] Talk to me about it once they both have some feelings for each other: Definite yes. Nothing much to add other than that this rarely happens tho. Like once maybe twice in the years where I've sparingly RPed.
[?] Talk to me about it when they finally decide that want to go beyond hugging: Never happened, probably would be fine?
When shipping my characters, I like the romance to happen:
[/] Swift as lightning!: Very rarely, that's usually if the ship was already discussed and I liked the idea enough to get on a hype train for it. :'D
[/] Fast, but not super fast: Same thing as the one above really.
[?] Happens in about three months:
Oddly specific. I don't think I need to have such a rule set up.
[x] Slow and steady wins the race: Take the time to develop the feels and I'm more than happy.
[/] Slugs know what's up!: Not too long tho, just make sure the raft doesn't hit a sandbank.
[x] My relationships know no speed. They happen if they happen: If it's purely left to me this is what happens. I'm more than willing to adjust to others' wishes tho.
When my characters get intimate, I prefer:
[?] To skip the act entirely
[?] To write the build up, but skip the act
[?] To write the act only if it is very special, but otherwise skip it
[?] To write the act all the way through
I HAVE NEVER DONE ANY SMUT, PLEASE SPARE MY PRECIOUS SOUL.
No but seriously, I've never done the smut in RPs, I tend to remain very tame unless the other wishes it different. (Or with that one super troll dream sequence in HPM that one time) So, I actually can't say much about my preferences, since I've never indulged in them; but I'm down to try anything... just... don't expect me to be super with or against it from the get-go. :'D
When it comes to artwork depicting our relationship please:
[/] Do not post it at all without talking to me: Well, I like to be aware of stuff, but it's not a must. :'D
[x] Post it if it is cuddles and hugs: AWW YISSS
[x] Post it if it is kisses. AAAAWWW YIIIISSSS
[/] Post it if it is much more. AAAWWW- Uhh... wait... wha? Maybe poke me before going that far? :'D
[/] Do not post it at all if it depicts sexual acts!: Okay so long as you poke me and it doesn't conflict with the code of conduct of the site involves, sure thing.
[/] Do not post it where I can see it, but / draw what you like!: <- That last part after the slash, yes, I'm not gonna stop you if you wanna draw my character for whatever reason. (I will feel bad that I will most likely not be able to make anything nice in return tho)
** Important: Always be sure to communicate with your partner individually if you think you are about to go outside their comfort zones even just the slightest bit!!
When it comes to violent situations, I am comfortable with:
[x] No violence at all!: Fine by me!
[x] I'm fine with verbal arguments!: Yeah, call me a fartnoggler! I can take it.
[x] Some violence, like a paper cut, or an accidental elbow to the face: Psh, is that all? I can deal tho.
[x] Mild violence, such as punching, kicking, hair pulling: Mild eh? Sure thing.
[x] Violence, such as stabbings: Yup, yup, this too I can deal with. So long as actual harm is being discussed before the dishing out of it happens.
[/] Beyond violence, such as torture and more: Well... uhh... so long as it's in character and relevant to the situation? And if it's discussed beforehand... then maybe.
If you are going to do something violent, please:
[-] Don't do it at all: You're free to do whatever :U
[x] Talk to me about it first: Definitely appreciated if you do.
[x] Surprise me!: I can live with being surprised, but only so long as the violence doesn't involve actual attempted murder or extreme mutilation right off the bat. (Unless it's very very very in character)
[-] Do not post any dramatic scenes that that happened between our characters:
[/] Talk to me about it before posting!: Always nice to be informed, but not a must. ;D
[x] Post what you like!: Yup yup.
Sooo I should be tagging people, but I'm way too tired to look if peeps already did it so I have more than just one tag.
It's just an excuse not to tag people but shh, it's also 1 am so it's somewhat justified.
